We're alive!!!

After 7 days in hiding, we're back and ready to P-A-R-T-Y!!

Jeremy turned in his last brief tonight and I turned in a take-home (awful) midterm and took another 2 hour midterm yesterday...umpf!

What have we been up to? Same old same old: shopping, drinking, working out, travel planning and playing with Summy. I got my hair did today and I think Jeremy is inspired to get his chopped manana. We'll be finalizing the menu for our 12-25 guests on Saturday and making sure the kegerator is rested and ready to go. Too bad the weather isn't holding up :( It was 80 yesterday, 70-something today and now it's forecast to snow on Saturday :0

Last Saturday Jeremy was a real trooper, I accidentally invited him to a girls-only dinner w/ some of my friends (hey, I sincerely thought some fellers would be there) and it turned out to be a 15:1 ratio. Poor Jeremy :P Award for awesome hubby of the year is due!

I'll get some pictures of Jeremy's TURNTABLES AND NEW MIXER and our entertainment stand once we get it all situated. He bought turntables!! DJ JDogg is getting serious :P I on the other hand had a tame shopping week and simple mapped out our next trip. Vegas in May, Aruba in August, Chile in December, and a grand finale of New Year's in Argentina! :) No African Safari for me this year, but I'm saving my pennies and hopefully next August I will be hanging out with some monos and elefantes.

I'll be adding pictures of my new hair (maybe) and my buys from 2 weeks ago tonight I hope, stay tuned for pictures galore :)

No more nightstand in the living room :)

Woah, this St. Patty's day party is getting expensive :0 All in an effort to make the house look stunning.

Doesn't this stand on the left remind you of a spaceship or a robot? lol. Oh well, it was the most "invisible" and compact media stand we could find/agree on and so we bid farewell to the clunky nightstand (temporary media stand) in the living room. Actually, it will be gone but first it needs a new home...know of any takers in the area?

Wondering if Jeremy will end up buying his turntable before then, hmmmm.

Spa Week 2007...it's coming

Sometime in April, dates to be announced (although West Coast dates are rumored to be before East Coast dates),
SPA WEEK 2007 will arrive.

What's this?
Well, Allure magazine and spas in major cities across the U.S. will team up to offer discounted services. Click on the link above and check it out for yourself, I can't wait for my $35 discounted mani/pedi...woohoo!

Jetblue AMEX Companion Fare

While planning the Vegas getaway for Camila's 21st, I got this fabulouso email:

"Dear ,
Isn't flying a lot more fun with your favorite person by your side? We sure think so.
That's why, when you fly JetBlue April 24 - May 23, 2007, we'll let you bring a friend for free.* Just call to book your travel between March 5 and March 31, 2007, pay a few dollars in taxes, and you won't need to fly solo all spring.
It's a special offer just for JetBlue Cardmembers, and it goes for all flights April 24 - May 23, 2007. Remember, this is a phone-only offer, so call 1-800-JET-BLUE and have your JetBlue Card handy.
Happy travels to you and your friends from JetBlue Airways and American Express."

EXCELLENT! ::as in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures, teehee::
Sooooooo, we got our flights not just 2-for-the-price-of-1 but we also got them on sale. Vegas, here we come! (we do after all have quite a gambling hobby ::cough cough:: addiction)
Oh, and the timeshare thing is looking good, guess I won't be fighting for my $$ back after all. Now here's to crossing my fingers that the Vegas accommodations aren't full for our weekend of debauchery.

Mmmmmmm, T-A-S-T-E-Y

If you're a fan of McCormick & Schmick's (or even if you've never been), I highly recommend trying them out with the assistance of this fancy schmancy $25 off coupon (no strings attached). We enjoyed our 2nd dinner there in two weeks and we'll probably try to squeeze one more in before its expiration on 3/31/07.
So here's what you do. You go to the coupon link here and print out your coupon. Then you visit Opentable.com and setup your reservation online for the McCormick & Schmick's location that is most convenient to you. Then you just write down your reservation confirmation number on the line for confirmation # on your coupon. You're all set, $25 off :)

Adventures in Travel Expo Review...and why I need more sleep

So I ventured out on my own this afternoon:
a. because the weather was ~60 = amazing!
b. because Jeremy is writing his law-review competition brief and I need to "be silent" at home so he can focus ::boring::
c. because I had to meet up with a friend that hosted a Candle Lite party a few weeks ago, and I wanted my goods
d. because we've been discussing our next 6 major trips (hopefully 2 a year for the next 3 years) and a travel expo only seemed fitting.

At the DC Convention Center (right by our old stomping grounds) this weekend they're hosting the Adventures in Travel Expo. Well, I spent about an hour and some walking from booth to booth. I hungout mostly in the areas marked "South America" "Africa" and "Adventure" because that describes our immediate travel focus.
On my way out, after grabbing brochures and magazines like you wouldn't believe, I got suckered into a promotion sponsored by a resort club company which is actually who we bought our timeshare from in Aruba. Who gets suckered into something like this twice? In summary, I bought something I'm not eligible for even though all 3 salespersons guaranteed me that I was. So the battle will begin on Monday to get my $69 back...arg. If it had worked, it would've been 3 nights in Vegas on the strip for $69 no strings attached. Being that we are already owners through them...the fine print says it ain't gonna happen for us :( Boo to the hoo!

Paige Premium Denim...in petite?!?

Woah woah woah woah woah. High end jean designers are listening to us shorties and making some reasonable jean lengths? what?!? since when, do they want to put my alterations people out of business? (haha, ya right) I'm skeptical b/c my Joe's Jeans that were targeted for petite ladies (their Provocateur line--knowledge courtesy of Oprah) actually sucked :(

Revolve Clothing is carrying Paige Premium Petite
so is Bloomingdales
and here are all of the choices at Paige Premium Denim's own website! :)

"In the true spirit of Paige Denim, we continue to provide premium denim for women of all shapes and sizes. This collection offers perfect proportions for the petite. Rather than simply cropping the length, this garment has been rescaled and tailored to accommodate the woman who is 5’4” and under with 31" inseam."

Putting the credit card away...

So much for trying to adopt mom's lenten resolution for no shopping. Meet my closet's most recent additions (courtesy of last night's wine-fest, I mean sample sale to benefit charity):
Moschino Suede Boots (saved $500, wahoo!)

Cutest Brown & Navy polka dot top ever (by Wendy Hil):
picture coming soon!

Cutest Shirt Dress w/ Bling (also grey/blue by Velvet):
picture also coming soon

Sequin Scarf:
picture is coming...soon I promise

and not an addition to the closet, but I bought the intersecting frame/mirror from cb2.com I was talking about last time. Good thing that today the board (at work, it was the 1st board meeting in my last 9 months of working here) asked the CEO to give me some shares in our company...I knew I was spending to celebrate something :P
